This Is Not The Time!

This Is Not The Time

If someone had told me that a city gal like me from Baltimore would join The Hergoodwill Store adventure, I would have said, "Yaaaaa okayyyyyy," with my best West Baltimore twang.

But that's exactly what I said when I took on my first teaching gig.

If someone had told me that I, a girl who couldn't outrun a turtle, would end up directing a famous gym and running a marathon, I'd have said, "You're pulling my leg!"

If someone had told me that I, from a family with pockets lighter than air, would study with two of the world's top vocal coaches, I'd have said, "Yeah, right... keep dreaming."

If someone had shown me the growth I'd endure over the last six years, I'd have sent a skyward SOS letter.

Time

Time can show you where you've been and where you might just stumble next. It's like a scrapbook of our evolution, complete with embarrassing photos.

Time

Time can say, "Not now, maybe later," like a procrastinating genie. It can freeze when you fall in love, or throw a party for life's little miracles.

Time

Time can toughen you up with pain you didn't know you could handle, like a boot camp for the soul.

Since the pandemic, many of us have lost loved ones, homes, and even the TV remote. We've been tested in ways we never saw coming.

We've watched dreams come true and others get stuck in traffic.

We've had to lend a hand and let go of old baggage. We've remembered our roots and kept bouncing back like a rubber ball.

We've believed in second, third, and fourth chances. We've cleaned up our act and pondered the freshness of each new day.

So, What Time Is It?

It's time to marvel at life's beauty and the miracle of breathing. It's proof that evolving is more than just changing socks.

This is not the time to forget the endless, wonderfully wacky possibilities before us... if we Dare To Believe!
